Magnus International SchoolCBSE, Nursery to Class XII Book a visit

A school worthreading into.

A CBSE school for Nursery to Class XII, since 2004

Magnus is built around its library. Every child borrows a book a week, every timetable has a reading hour, and every lesson starts with a question worth looking up.

1Our story

Twenty-two years, and the library still grows fastest.

Magnus opened in 2004 with one building, 140 children and a library that fitted in a single cupboard.

The promise made that year has not changed: no class above thirty, a reading hour in every timetable, and a teacher who replies the same day. The campus has grown around that promise, one block at a time.

2From the principal

A note from the principal's desk.

Dr. Anita Mehra has led Magnus since 2012, and still takes the Class IX reading hour herself.

  • 24 years in classrooms, the last fourteen as principal here.
  • Ph.D. in English literature, and author of two reading guides for parents.
  • Every Thursday, third period, she reads with Class IX in the library.
  • Open door: parents can meet her on any working day, 9 AM to 11 AM.

To: The parents of every new and returning student

Dear parents,

When you choose a school, you are really choosing what your child will do with an ordinary Tuesday. At Magnus, part of every Tuesday is spent with a book.

A child who reads does not need to be told to study. They ask, they look things up, they disagree politely and they write better answers. That is why reading sits on every timetable here, from Nursery to Class XII.

Come and watch a library period for yourself. My door is open on every working day.

Warmly,

Dr. Anita MehraPrincipal, Magnus International School
